Medical Oncology

Oncology is a branch of medicine that specialises in the treatment and diagnosis of cancer. A vast area of study about various cancers and how to treat them is an ongoing research. Until a few years back, cancers were fatal illness that had no cure. But with the advances in science and technology, treatments for most cancers have shown great results.

Treatments for cancer popularly include chemotherapy, therapy for hormones, and other drugs and medications that are used to treat cancer. Other treatments such as radiation oncology (use of radiation therapy), and surgical oncology.
